Check out this behind-the-scenes mini-documentary of Metal: Hellsinger

The Outsiders and Funcon have released a behind-the-scenes video (BTS) showing how the FPS beat was born.

Exploring the “origins of the game, including exclusive interviews with the game’s creators, music composers, and some of its incredible vocal talents,” the BTS documentary also includes conversations with the creators of the soundtrack, Elvira Björkman and Nicklas Hjertberg from Two Feathers.

You can watch the 15-minute video – which includes a preview of Two Feathers’ “big live gig” at Gamescom – below:

Metal: Hellsinger – Behind the Scenes Video

Metal: Hellsinger is a stunning rhythm game where you play as a voiceless demon fighting his way out of hell, slaying demons to the beat of a metal soundtrack performed by Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy) and Randy Blythe (Lamb of God).

We gave Metal: Hellsinger a “Recommended” badge, calling it a “skinny, tightly restrained mashup of more than Rock Band and Doom, Metal: Hellsinger captures the serious spirit of an underloved genre”.

“Hellsinger is a light game compared to most, relatively short, though extended somewhat by parallel challenges and indefinitely by its leaderboards, with a campy, devil-killing story of fallen angels and giant skeletons that plays like a moving iron Maiden album cover,” we said. “But it all folds into a sort of irresistibly serious spirit, a sense of utter, unapologetic, unapologetic, unreserved sincerity.”
