Street Fighter 6 will have a closed beta in October
Capcom has just announced the dates for the next closed beta test of Street Fighter 6.
The dates were shown as part of Capcom’s Tokyo Game Show live stream event earlier today, which also included a new look at parts of the game and some returning fighters.
Series veterans Ken, Blanka, Dhalsim, and E. Honda have all been confirmed as returning characters in the roster. Footage from the Battle Hub showed a game center filled with arcade cabinets for players to battle against.
We also got to see part of the World Tour, single-player story mode, character customization, and Scrap Heap mode. An accompanying article detailing everything featured can be found on the official PlayStation blog.
Although no release date has been announced, a closed beta test will take place next month. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam with cross-play on all platforms. There will be eight playable characters: Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri, Ken. Many different modes of the game will be unlocked for players to try out, including practice mode, ranked and casual matches, and tournaments.
The beta will be open during the weekend of October 7-10. Full details of what will be available in the beta can be found on the Street Fighter 6 website. You can also apply online through the website and submissions close September 30.
