Valorant now reports bad behavior after each match
Valorant will now report bad behavior in its endgame screen to try to limit toxicity.
A new update has been released for the game, focusing primarily on changes to the Pearl map.
Still, tucked away in the patch notes is a social update to add a “gameplay-based disruptive behavior indicator.”
“We’ve introduced a feature that will display at the end of the game screen which players have been detected for engaging in gameplay-based disruptive behavior,” the update reads.
“This has been added to the following game modes: Unranked, Competitive, Spike Rush and Replicate, with more game modes to follow in the near future.”
It’s unclear exactly what constitutes “disruptive gameplay-based behavior,” whether it’s toxicity in voice chat, going AFK during a match, or harassing another player.
In July, Riot began monitoring voice chat in North America to train its language models. A statement at the time read: “Voice rating during this time will not be used for reports of disruptive behavior.”
A beta launch of the voice rating system was planned “later this year”, so perhaps this latest update will tie in.
The update also fixes an issue with KAY/O zero/point, along with other bug fixes.
